In late february, a user by the name of wreed99@worlnet.att.net posted a series of auctions for Bose Lifestyle home audio systems.

This person or group of people have made off with more than $100,000 of eBay'ers money (estimated). All his auction posts were private and therefore eBay will not release the identities of those individuals who bid on these items so that we may contact them to get their correspondence and any paper trail that may assist in the investigation.

Payments were sent to 4601 W Sahara Avenue, Suite L, Las Vegas, NV which happens to be a corporate admin service that simply re-mails, answers phones and, in this case, deposits checks into a US Bank account.

All of the names used in E-Mail and eBay like "Bill Reed", "Bill Kerr", and "Sheila Karnes" are aliases and/or assumed names. Searches on these names are unlikely to yield any leads.

The authorities are active on this case and any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There will be a substantial reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the guilty parties.
